Been using the X52 for several years, great system. However, it spit the bit and so I upgraded to the X52 Pro. My question and I have already contacted them.
I installed the software that came with it (never did on the first one) thinking maybe I might get more out of it not that I know how. First it installed in program files (x86) without giving me a choice then not really being able to do anything more anyway it messed up my aicarrier utility. In the app data. Well, removed software and aicarriers.
Reinstalled aicarriers and they work fine. Did not install software but flight system works just like the old one. Anybody give me some insight on what went wrong? I obviously don't need the software installed and I love my aicarrier utility with well over 100 ship set ups. Need to land? Add a carrier!

The thumb mouse below the bottom rotary. Getting full use of the 'mode' switch is tricky and really requires fsuipc if you're not using the saitek software, but it can be done (by using the fsuipc advanced button mapping that allows you to specify a button combination as a 'trigger' for the action, rather than just a single button). They're not really any significant loss, IMO.
On the throttle control right side forward green button with the ring around it an I in the center, can't map it or should I say assign it the a key. This is the only button I have found. One more thing I noticed maybe just my program sometimes the hat swith panning seems to hesitate. Asm handbook volume 14 forming and forging.
Normal stuff? Or something I should look into? Over all still my favorate control system. There's a setting in the driver properties for clutched mode, which uses one of those buttons, make sure that it's set to non-clutched mode, and it'll allow you to use all 3 of those green buttons that are on the throttle. You can get to the properties from 'Devices and Printers' and right clicking on the joystick device and choosing 'game controller settings' then 'properties'.
The clutch mode setting is on the 'MFD' page. Thanks, I'll check that and while we are on the topic, what does the clutch do? Does it have something to do with the silver wheel on the lower left side of the throttle? It's essentially useless if you're not using their software, it's kind of weird but lets you 'switch between MFD profiles on the fly', since the profiles don't 'do anything' without their software, then.shrug. The MFD profiles chosen from are the same ones that pressing the up and down buttons on the MFD normally switches, not the silver wheel-switch button profiles. Using the clutch button makes the hat switch on the joystick switch between them. It's all a bit silly really, and doesn't make sense as a default option, but that's saitek for you.
