LiveXPWIM.ISO 162 MBwith the advice I gave, it can not be 162 MB. Here are results I've got and published before. Background: all 'image to ram' kind builds (bootsdi script, wimboot) requires images to be loaded to Ram when booting. Your image is 162 MB so you need to wait 162 MB loaded first, with your case I guess during boot 162MB loaded to ram by reading from cd first than bootup continues. Shortly: Get your boot image smaller (60, 70 MB) Some ideas:. unselect some scripts.

on application scripts you can select 'Run From CD' option where available. also you can use portable applications seperately, I previously wrote also check where you can find a good set of portable application packages.

wimpack script packs applications on seperate image hence bootimage is smaller. About boot speed: if ntldr (with boot.ini) is used in place of setupldr.bin and setupreg.hiv will be transformed - hive SYSTEM, boot PE will be faster. For UFD such variant works perfectly, but for CD after Bootlogo - Bsod 0x7b. Until now decisions to find not succeeded. If it exists in general! If I get it right (judging from your other post here): You are working on a 'hybrid' PE/XP. Previous attempts were not fully successful AFAICR and anyway not documented properly: Why don't you start a new thread with more details on your approach.?
