It'll count once you start it, you can download it, just not start it. So if you download it you could try saving it to a point where you'll have more computer time, and just not open it at all until then, but that still doesn't necessarily mean much.

Really unfair, this should have been done before the game was released. I'm really not happy with this. I find it completely fair. EA decided to allow Maxis to give people a free trial for 48 hours. It isn't really up to Maxis when things are suppose to be due, if there is going to be a free trial, the prices, and all that. Free trials are great!!

And it's not 24 logged hours, 24 hours in real time, and that's not enough. There are other things to do, and a few hours of gameplay isn't enough. Again, the time given isn't enough to see how quickly or slowly you get bored with. The Free Trial that they are releasing right now is better because 1) You don't even have to pay for it, and 2) it's longer. But this should have been before they released the game.

How about Sims 3? It sold GREAT the first week, and NO demo. Sims 4 has a demo, hm, I wonder why? Fifa 15 had it's demo first, they didn't put it out after they sold the game. I'll say this - I had fun with Sims 4 for quite awhile, until the loading screens made the game unplayable for me.

There were other irritants, such as only immediate family being acknowledged, romances being started while I was rotated to another household (on occasion, to those family members that aren't acknowledged - such as one who suddenly was involved with both his mother in law and sister in law who were both happily married), the bipolar mood swings, emotions being dictated first and foremost by decor instead of events, and the very flawed multitasking which for most things aren't. Ugh, my point is, for the first couple of days, especially if you only play for a couple of hours, it is fun. Fast loading screens, relationships not getting to gorked status, not having to complete the same type of repetitive goal for the gazillionth time, etc. It's only after I had been playing awhile that the issues started bothering me, and it still was a little while longer before it became unplayable.
